The intestinal parasite of Entamoeba histolytica are among the major causes of amoebiasis throughout the world. Despite the remarkable development of diagnostic methods for parasitic diseases and the continuous awareness of their treatment and control, which led to a clear reduction in the spread of these diseases in a number of developed and industrial countries.

Influences on the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Niche

Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) are supported by the bone marrow microenvironment to maintain normal production of blood cells. The niche may be considered an "ecosystem" that support the function of HSCs and other supportive cells. Alterations in the bone marrow niche are commonly observed in hematologic malignancies.

Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) is a relatively uncommon yet distinct type of malignant lymphoma whose clinical and pathological characterization has been limited by the small numbers of cases published to date. It comprises 3-7% of all Hodgkin's lymphoma cases, with a median diagnosis age of 68 years. Based on immunophenotypic and molecular data, MCL is a neoplasm composed of cells resembling those residing in follicular mantle zones.
